Affiliate programs we participate in

We currently have affiliate relationships with the following programs. This list is updated as relationships change.

• Amazon Associates — We earn from qualifying purchases made through Amazon links. Commission rates vary by product category (typically 1–4% for home and garden products).
• US Water Systems — Direct affiliate program. Commission: 10% on standard residential and light commercial products; 15% after qualifying sales volume.
• Crystal Quest — Direct affiliate program. Commission: 15%.
• Awin Network — We participate in select programs through the Awin affiliate network.

How this affects our editorial independence

Our affiliate relationships do not influence which products we recommend, how we rate systems, or what we write in our reviews. Specifically:

• We do not accept payment from manufacturers or distributors in exchange for favorable reviews or placement.
• We do not adjust ratings or recommendations based on commission rates. A product that pays a higher commission does not receive a better rating as a result.
• If a product we have an affiliate relationship with performs poorly based on specifications, certifications, or operational data, we say so in the review.

The reviews and recommendations on this site are based on publicly available specifications, NSF and WQA certification data, manufacturer documentation, and the editor's professional experience in water and wastewater treatment operations. We do not receive free products for review.
